Marine is happy to interact with fandom on small scale but will typically avoid larger discussions - such as discords, etc.

Marine may block for pushing his NOTPs on him and/or an expectancy for him to conform to a headcanon he has not stated previous interest in.

Archive of our Own (Ao3)

Currently, Marine avoids deleting works posted to Ao3. He perceives the archive as an archive where even the most cringeworthy work may be valuable study material at some point. As alternatives to deletion, however, Marine will utilise orphaning and/or the anonymous collection. Marine may utilise these for a variety of reasons including - but not limited to - general dislike of a fic, wanting to disengage from the wider fandom, etc.

Marine keeps a curated collection of his fanfiction on MarineHaddock.gay, where he will not upload fics that he does not wish to and will delete fics as he wishes.

Marine attempts to reply to every comment he receives (sans replies), though this may take a long time (previously, people have waited a year.)

Marine gives blanket, non-exclusive permission for anyone to make derivative works including translations, podfics, and video podfics of his fics publicly posted on AO3 with the following restrictions:

• You must provide credit and a link back to the original work on AO3.
• You may not use my writing as the basis or inspiration for any commercial projects.
• You may not sell or make available for sale anything based on my work without my prior written consent. And you can’t accept money in exchange for making the work.
• This permission is non-exclusive. Multiple people may podfic or translate the same work, and no one may claim exclusive rights to any fic. If a fic has already been translated into a particular language but you’d like to offer a new translation, you have my permission.

You don’t need his permission to make transformative works like illustrations, but you can’t profit off of anything based on his fic. If you create art or animations based on anything he’s written, he would love to see them.

Marine believes fandom should be allowed to do what brings them joy and offers the most creative freedom. If you don’t show him your fanwork, he’ll never see it, and you can do whatever you want. If someone shows it to him without your permission, he’ll pretend he never saw it and will do his best to be aware of malicious actors in relation to your work.
