Alois’s older brother - a charismatic author that’s made a name for himself.
Appearance
Section titled “Appearance”A prince type. White, with thick straight blond hair. He has blue eyes and is starting to show his age, but not too considerably. 180cm and mid-build.
Personality
Section titled “Personality”Smart and easily tops his classes. He connects well with others and can understand others situations quickly. He’s solution-oriented and will always have advice for whoever comes to him. People tend to like him quickly and rely on him, knowing he’ll come through for them.
Background
Section titled “Background”Aloysius was the only son of Edward McNamara and Edward’s first wife. He was an exceptional student throughout his life who was always well liked. When he was 14, he met Nicolas (Nic) at school and they became best friends. They joined the science club together when Perla was the head of it. The two took to making serious scientific advancements rather than just doing set experiments and were well praised in the academy.
Aloysius was disowned when Alois was 2, and when then fall out with Nic the following year. He had to rebuild his life from his savings and his connections.
Relationships
Section titled “Relationships”Edward McNamara
Section titled “Edward McNamara”Aloysius despises his father for divorcing his mother, disowning him, refusing him custody of Alois, and using Alois as a replacement son. He has no interest in talking to him and secretly hopes his father sees how well he’s doing now and knows that he has no part in his son’s new life.
Perla McNamara
Section titled “Perla McNamara”Aloysius teased Perla a lot in school, but they got along well overall. They tended to see eye-to-eye a lot, and Aloysius was always willing to help her network and introduce her to people who could help her advance in the world. He understood how precarious her family’s position was and took it upon himself to help secure a good future for her.
However, he never expected her to fall for his father. He took her siding with him as a deep betrayal and struggles to forgive her for it. Still, he holds good memories from when they were at school.
Alois McNamara
Section titled “Alois McNamara”Aloysius adores Alois and doted on him from the moment he was born. He was his primary carer for the first few years of his life. Aloysius was unaware that Alois was to be his replacement in the family and took great joy in having a baby brother. When he was removed from the family, Aloysius planned to take custody of Alois, but knew his family would make sure he didn’t win the case as they could cut the money they were giving him to nothing. Still, he pursued the case and lost just as he’d expected.
He continued to care a lot about Alois during their 15 years apart and would occassionally ask friends about how he was, though never overstepping.
Ryuunosuke
Section titled “Ryuunosuke”Aloysius’s fiance. After Nic and Kaoru died, Aloysius took Ryuunosuke (Ryun) in. Ryun was deeply traumatised by both the accident and from being rejected by relations and struggled to connect with anyone, so Aloysius decided to pay especially close attention to him. Aloysius was able to build a connection with him by talking about Nic after most people refusing to mention him in front of Ryun. He also took interest in some od Ryun’s old projects and helped him build on them as a writing tutor. Eventually, he became Ryun’s primary tutor and helped him get far ahead of the others.
Over the years, Ryun grew extremely attached to Aloysius and would accompany him everywhere. Aloysius found his dedication cute and took a strong interest in him as well. He eventually proposed, and Ryun gladly accepted.
Nicolas “Nic” Dwight
Section titled “Nicolas “Nic” Dwight”Ryuunosuke’s father. Aloysius and Nic met when they were 14 and were both deep into science - particularly genetic modification. They were always together and making plans, as well as teasing Perla while in the science club.
Aloysius had a crush on Nic, though he never voiced it. He was heartbroken when Nic married Kaoru, but did his best to be a supportive friend. He would arrange playdates between Alois and Ryun as an excuse to spent time with them after Ryun’s birth.
Georgia Beaulieu
Section titled “Georgia Beaulieu”Georgia and Aloysius went to school together and were friends. While they’re not particularly close, Georgia had a crush on Aloysius and always relied on him.
