An illegal magical boy who aspires to be one of the best around. Sadly held back by his own selfishness.
Background
Section titled “Background”Edan and Gale met when Edan was in high school and Gale was in as a student teacher for English. In school, Edan was a troublemaker, and constantly gave the teachers shit and planned to do the same to Gale. The minute he started acting up, Gale took a baby wipe off the desk and handed it to him, telling him not to draw on his face like a baby (and gesturing to Edan’s face tattoo that he’d gotten underage). Edan was fuming at the insult but wasn’t fast enough on a come back to save himself so had to shut up or risk taking shit from everyone.
Later on, Gale happened to come across Edan out the back of the school smoking with his friends (and looking noticeably dishevelled) and had the duty as a teacher to remind them not to smoke on school grounds. However, still being young, Gale wanted to come across as the “cool” teacher and showed Edan a gap in the fence they could get out to smoke and not get caught while not being that far from where they liked. Edan appreciated it and started to like him a little despite the rough beginning. Edan started trying to get close to him on their breaks and tried to kiss him before Gale’s placement ended. Gale rejected him but still gave him his number so they could keep in touch.
The two kept in touch and stayed good friends after Edan left school and Gale got his first real teaching job. Edan was desperate to move out since his mother was struggling to raise six kids on her own, but since he had no real money or job, Gale offered to let him stay with him temporarily (read: forever). Edan took him up on it and got a job at a male strip club while he tried out to become a magical boy.
Edan passed all theory tests with flying colours, he managed to awaken the power to manipulate and create gale force winds, and took to a crossbow with ease (though maybe assisted by his powers). His only issue came with the final group practical exam, which continually clashed with his ego. Edan would continually stray from his group to fight monsters on his own, not communicate with others, and risk hurting them to get the result he desired. He made the same mistakes on every single resit, insisting that his group was just shit for not keeping up with him. Eventually, he ran out of resits, and was informed that he would have to wait 5 years to even be considered again. Edan was furious and went back home to Gale screaming.
After a while of job hunting, and still stripping, Edan got sick of it, pissed that he couldn’t just be a magical boy and get the fame he felt he deserved. He sat about messing with his powers, messing with his crossbow, watching other magical folk fight on TV, talking to some of them online, and generally getting himself wound up. One of his friend’s “friends” suggested that he should just become a magical boy anyway, after all, he has the powers, he has the equipment, who needs a licence and a team? He’d be a superhero, saving the city under a secret identity! Edan got well too attached to the idea despite his friend telling him it was a bad one and convinced Gale to join him for it. So the two became illegal magical boys.
Personality
Section titled “Personality”Edan is extremely boisterous. He’s loud, he’s confident, he’s flirty, he constantly wants all the attention he can get. He takes all his validation from others and is destroyed by any criticism or rejection.
Relationships

Section titled “Gale Addams”The closest person to Edan in his life. Despite the fact he was rejected when they first met, Edan didn’t really give up on him fully, believing he’d been rejected on more the basis he was a high school student with a troublesome relationship with love and sex. Gale kept a distance from him on that basis for a good while, even when they were living together, but eventually Gale let his own feelings for Edan get the better of him, cuddling on the couch during movies and making homemade hot chocolate. However, he still denies his feelings being romantic.
