They’ll point out how cringe each other is, but they’ll both commit to the bit so hard.
竹 trying to reward 汐 for good behaviour (gets to bite him)
- Tells him he’ll get a reward for waking up early but it turns out that just makes 汐 skip sleeping and wake him up at 5am for his reward.
  - Sensei also had this problem. It turns out it just encourages 汐 to seek loopholes.
汐 is getting his doctorate just to be able to constantly reassure 竹 he knows what he’s doing (he’s a doctor, after all)
- No one in his class knew more about cannibalism than him!
  
  竹: Did you learn to do it safely?
  
  汐: Takeshiba-san asks silly questions :)
汐 eventually publishes a book on cannibalism and dedicates it to 竹 as his research partner.

For my research partner Takeshiba-san. Here’s to many more years of exploration.
- 竹 is moved but scared.

- 竹 will use it to brag a little about how sweet 汐 is.

汐 is disappointed 竹 never reads his books beyond the dedication.
- If 竹 isn’t going to learn to read, 汐 will just have to demonstrate on him!
  - 竹 has a feeling he’d do that even if he did read them.
新 has called 竹 a cradle robber on multiple occassions.
- It got 竹 to stop coming to him to talk about his relationship for like 2 weeks.
- They’re not even usable for his scripts. It’s just silly shit and 竹 covered in bite marks.
  - It would be cliche in a furry drama.
Somehow, 汐 constantly telling 竹 how delicious he is is helping his self-confidence.
- Having a bad day and just thinking “at least I’m still delicious.”
  - Horrified at himself for thinking that.
    - More horrified it genuinely made him feel better.
  - Going home to ask 汐 to confirm he’s still delicious.
If 汐 saw 竹’s bride outfit, he’d be genuinely stunned by how beautiful he is.

船 Route

汐 hearing 竹 was worried about him and just loudly telling everyone, “TAKESHIBA-SAN LIKES ME!!!”
- They were there. They know. They had to watch him wrestle a guy twice his size on a boat over you. They had to be dragged into the forest looking for you.
Hearing about their treatment of 船 like “oh, so Take-han was trying to be a scary dom :3”
- He would like to see it.
  - He won’t sub though. He’ll just laugh at him.

Any Route Where 竹 gets the 汐B Treatment

Someone will eventually think 竹 is 汐’s dad.
- 汐 immediately saying No!
  - He’ll keep thinking about it, but he’d never insult his dad in such a way…
- 竹 crying because he thinks Shigeko will be scared.
Shigeko thinks he looks cool.
- The white hair makes him look like a real old man, but he was already an old man to her.

Let’s Go Gambling

汐 sitting on 竹’s lap like a good luck girl and blows on his dice.
He’ll eat them if they’re bad dice.
- Strangely eating them involves sucking 竹’s fingers.
竹 always rolls well when 汐 blows on his dice and poorly when he doesn’t. It genuinely scares him.
That means it’s really 汐’s money right? 竹 will have to earn it off him at the end of the night.
汐 is unfortunately a magnet for old men who want to offer him things and 汐 will follow if they’re interesting enough.
竹 always comes to try and rescue him.
- 汐 doesn’t need him to.
汐: Sorry, I already got my old man with me 💚

Shigeko

竹 somewhat reluctantly introducing 汐 to Shigeko.
It takes till the end of the day to ask who he is.
- 竹 just keeps flapping his hands, unsure what he’s even trying to sign because oh G-d what does he say
  - 汐 sees him struggling and signs “bride” for him.
    - He was studying ahead of meeting her cause
      1. He wanted to be able to talk to her.
      2. Sign language is super interesting and adds a whole new range of language and dialect to study.
- Shigeko had put off asking cause it’s nice to see Yo-chan happy (but who is this twink)
Shigeko isn’t sure about him, but if he makes Yo-chan happy, then she’s happy.
汐 really doesn’t like having to leave her back at the church.
竹 trying to insist they’re only allowed to visit her sometimes, it’s just the rules.
汐 offering to adopt her. He has a house and money and she can have his old room.
- If he can’t adopt her, he’ll kidnap her!! It’s fine, they’re giving her a better life!!
汐 is very genuinely upset at the suggestion they might not be able to adopt Shigeko and another family could take her.
- He can’t stand the thought of her and 竹 being separated, it hurts him too much and makes his sleep issues worse cause he’s thinking about sensei again.
- He’ll genuinely do everything he can to adopt Shigeko, even if he’s not going to be the world’s best parent or the most ready, it’s important to him.
汐 keeps talking about being 竹’s bride so Shigeko starts insisting they at LEAST have to sneak her out for the wedding.
- And now 竹 has to follow through with the wedding because it’s Shigeko asking.

Coparenting (日 Route!大有)

竹 is so stressed about being a good father, but at least he can see 大有 with 日 and know he’s doing better than them.

”Child Bride” 汐

汐 calling himself 竹’s “child bride”
竹 is having a meltdown about it.
He’s constantly in confession about it and the priest is so sick of his shit.

Priest: Nothing you say here is helping your case regarding custody of Shigeko.

竹: I know, but I need to talk to someone.

Priest: Surely you have friends you could confide in.

竹: Yeah. My child bride.

He’s phoned everyone trying to find someone to talk to.
- 新 told him to fuck off.
- 大 has nothing helpful to say. Good luck with that.
- 竹 just feels worse for trying.
汐 insists he shouldn’t worry so much!! 汐 likes being his child bride.
汐 does offer him the chance to be the bride.
- That does make him feel slightly better for some reason.
  
  汐: Then I’ll be your child groom!
  - Worse.
汐 giving the extensive history of younger and child brides is also not helping. No matter how much detail he goes into.

Wedding

竹 can not pay for the wedding and the father of the bride is dead.

汐: Shijoumae-saaaaaaaaaan
- 竹 goes to 市場前 to try and arrange a deal like he can pay it back if they just… make the installments really small…
  - He can give him show tickets?
  - Akiko (Fujo Queen that she is) is happy to help and they can work it out later

竹: Can a miko even get married?

汐, visibly shaking: Glad you asked :)

有 gets the invitation (though 竹 promises he doesn’t have to take it too seriously, it’s really just to make Shigeko happy) and crushes it because how did the clown get married before him and 大.
大 is terrified because there’s a red envelope in the house and 有 is pissed at it.
汐 thought the red envelopes would be funny.
- 新’s did not survive long enough for him to read it.
市場前 tries to talk to 大 at the wedding, but there’s no getting past The 有 (no one is getting close to him with 有 around.)

有: ah Shijoumae-san it’s so nice to see you have you tried the hors d’oeuvres turning him around before Oosaki can say a word to him

有: Shijoumae-san, your wife looks lovely this evening. Please give her my compliments. Now.

有: Oosaki-san, I always wanted to have a buffet at my wedding

大: Did you not have one at the last one?

有: . I’m going to get some drinks.

大: Ariake-san?????

新 almost caught the bouquet by complete accident, but 有 stomped his foot and pushed him.
- 青 managed to grab it while they were fighting.
  - He’s no interest in them, so just hands them to 大.
    - 大 wants to give them to 有 but he’s stormed off.
汐 makes a point of teasing 有 about the whole thing.
- They only even did the bouquet toss because 汐 knew 有 would start a fight over it.
  
  有: WHY ARE YOU HERE. DO NOT SPEAK TO ME
  
  汐: it’s my wedding :)
竹 is trying to perform at his own wedding but everyone else is much more exciting entertainment.
Shigeko is looking at 竹 for him to translate what the fighting is about and 竹 just desperately trying to tell her not to worry about it.
- 汐 has taken to signing as he speaks so she’s trying to piece together from what he’s saying.
竹 tries to get Shigeko to go play with “the other kids” but that’s primarily 日 who isn’t too impressed with being handed a small child.
- Sorry 日, you’re the only one he knows for sure can sign.
大 is trying to find 有 to give him the bouquet but now 日 is glaring at him and he has no idea why.
大 is just glad 清 isn’t here (guy who’d be telling everyone they’re related)
- 有 and 日 had helped with the wedding menu just to ensure there was as much gluten as possible in case 清 did show up.

竹: This wedding might actually be more stressful than the funeral

Everyone Disliked That.
They can share some hato sablé as an end of night treat.
- 竹 is forcing 青 to eat it.
  
  Students: Aomi-sensei, how was the wedding!!
  
  青: Bad.
有 was pissed, 大 just walked him home and then left because he “had to get his kid to bed”
- He did manage to give him the (mostly crushed) bouquet at least.
  - He wanted to say he’d get him a better one but the mutism got him.
新 is complaining to his roommates about the entire wedding.
竹 is just glad to be home with his new wife - though wasn’t this meant to just be a show wedding?
- 汐 starts yapping about all the significance of weddings and the communal aspect (since there was no legal side to it) and really, this is as much of a wedding as they’ll get.
- 竹 realises he’s been played, but 汐 is cute. He’s happy.
  - Please never make him do that ever again.
汐 slept great (and on top of 竹)

市場前: How was the honeymoon?

竹, shaking: I don’t remember it.

市場前 doesn’t find anything strange about that, but Akiko is insistent they owe her more details.
- 汐 will explain all the scars 竹 doesn’t remember and hasn’t noticed.
有 is pouting because 大 still isn’t proposing (they didn’t have their Ooejima wedding in this timeline, how could he ever be satisfied!!)

Modern

汐 loves modern slang and 竹 never has any idea what he’s saying.
He mixes modern slang with completely archaic words and 竹 doesn’t know any better than the others.
- He’ll tell 竹 the archaic words are “hip”.
  - 竹 tries to use them at kids parties.
汐 makes fun of him for his outdated memes, pretending he doesn’t know them.
汐 gets him to do a load of shit telling him it’s TikTok challenges and will be good for marketing.
竹 eventually asks if this is a kink thing.
- 汐 isn’t answering.

- He was looking for 竹, but he couldn’t hear him or find him (couldn’t exactly wander the inn)
  - Asked 有 where he was and 有 didn’t answer.
    - He likes 竹… 竹 is funny, though not as much as he’s trying to be…
    - 有 is never funny. He’s always just trying to act cute for 大. Is it working for him? 大 is kind of silly, so it’s probably working.
AU where 汐 finds 竹 and tries to eat him, but gets poisoned from it and dies beside him.
- Eating 竹 while telling him off for dying on him like this.
- Don’t tell 市場前, but 竹 was his favourite.
